About
Description

The Ziegler Paper Mill was originally started by Josef Ziegler-Thoma in 1861. Over a period of five generations, the family established the company as a small but first-rate independent manufacturer of paper specialties. In August 2009, the company was sold to the family of Philipp and Isabel Kuttler-Frey free of all debt and with its profit situation intact. This ensures that the mill with its strong regional roots continues to be family-run. Thanks to a spirit of innovation and the constant desire to improve and develop its products, the company has always concentrated on producing quality rather than quantity. Ziegler papers are hallmarked by their excellent standard of workmanship and first-class properties. This top level of quality and consistency makes our products highly valued by our international customers and satisfied end-users. We use the responses and requirements of these as a basis for our future product policies. This corporate philosophy has paid off and will be actively pursued by the Kuttler-Frey family. With its headquarters in Grellingen, Switzerland, Ziegler Paper Mill has some 152 employees working day and night shifts. Our paper machine (PM3) produces about 72,000 tonnes per year and has a wire width of 331 cm. This allows us to produce papers with weight ranges from 40 to 400 gsm.
