Fabscraps South Africa was the first scrapbooking manufacturer in Africa and within nine years has gained an estimate 30% market share against worldwide competition. Fabscraps has established themselves in America which has successfully provided a platform to do business with Europe, UK, Canada, India, Australia and New Zealand. The owner, Brigitte Wimbush with a fine art and graphic design background has been in the advertising industry for over twenty years. Spotting a gap in the market, Brigitte started the company as a sideline venture to her small advertising agency. Astonishingly, within nine years, what started off as a small venture in a loft, is now the largest scrapbook manufacturer in Africa; and a full time staff of 14. There is always something new from Fabscraps. Brigitte and her team create up to at least 60 new products a month. Their collections include: Paper, chipboard die-cuts, journals, tools, cutters, stencils, stickers, fonts, embellishments, metals, mini-books, albums and fabric.
