The business was founded in 1999 and became a limited company on June 23rd 2009. Our head office is Manchester however we have 12 consultants spread geographically across England (7), Scotland (2), Wales (1), Northern Ireland (1) and Eire (1), and representative offices in more than 30 countries worldwide. The business started as a strategic planning consultancy, turning loss making businesses back to profit. A recurring element in the success of our work was the introduction of clients to new export markets. This led to the development of the international network of self-employed consultants overseas who work under the Copernicus brand on a project by project basis. We operate regular International Business Days both in the UK and overseas working in association with various chambers of commerce and/or trade bodies. We have carried out numerous projects for overseas companies in the UK and vice-versa. Major UK clients have included the BBC, Asda, Virgin and Boots, however the majority of our work is in the SME sector. The essence of our services are that they create new opportunities for our clients, increase shareholder value and promote long term, sustainable growth. Our business model is very flat with low fixed costs, which enables us to deliver high quality consultancy services at extremely competitive rates and base some of our work on a lower fee + success fee, demonstrating our confidence by investing our time in a project and sharing the risk with the client. We pride ourselves on our prompt efficiency, transparency and professionalism (see Copernicus Commitments attached). If we do not think we can help a potential client to achieve project goals we will tell them so, we reserve the right to decline projects when we believe the client could be better served elsewhere.
